The bedroom serves not only as a place to sleep, but is also an extension of one's personal space. A bedroom can be decorated to one's liking with furniture and accessories to suit taste and budgets. It usually contains a bed, dressers, wardrobes, closets, mirror, carpeting, furnishings, air conditioner and heater. Additional accessories include telephone, television, books, computer and a clock.
A bedroom needs a personal touch. Do this by putting up framed photographs of family moments. You can also set aside some space to display cherished collectibles from your childhood. Include mementoes like the first gift your partner gave you or your wedding invitation.
Generally used colors are pale yellow, white, beige or paste shades. Wallpapers are also available with different themes and shades; you can also use these instead of paint. Keep in mind to select the ones which give a soothing feeling rather than noisy ones here as well.
Minimalist themed bedrooms need not necessarily be devoid of color. Add rich colors to the white sheets by throwing a bright red or blue coverlet over it. Masculine bedrooms look good done in leather and accessorized with wooden bookshelves and tables.
